Cam Ready Cosmetx
Unique Branding
in a Saturated Market
Design Challenge
Cam Ready Cosmetx is my first product based design client that I got to design from scratch. Most of my clients are service based businesses or one off designers who have an exact vision I help them realize.
This was a unique project in that I created the branding from scratch, helped the business owner solidify and realize her vision from the bottom up. I even helped the owner with product concepts.
Creating a Brand Identity
Cam Ready Cosmetx is Natural, Glamorous, and Accessible
It is a brand that allows those who are not experienced with makeup to have glamour results. It is especially formulated to work with and without other products, so you can be made up without needing a full face.
Simple, natural, glam instantly made me think of the simple beauty of Old Hollywood where simple eye liner, lipstick, blush, and mascara was used to make starlets shine. LOGO. CRC's logo is a simple wordmark. The font is based on 1920's design elements. It is accented with simple red dots, which reference the "recording" light of a camera.
Icon/Cap Image. A secondary design element, which will be incorporated into CRC's Tops and caps is a camera shutter. The shutter is cleverly disguised as a woman's hair and is accented with a woman's lips. Her face is created in the negative space.
Typography Font Pairings-
Riesling, Phenomena, Loosy Brush, and Canter. Each font is a period font that adds elegance to the overall branding of the product line.
Red
