Logo for a preschool that specializes in caring for children with autism
This logo was an opportunity for me to really show that I am an inclusive designer. As someone who stays plugged into the disability community, I rejected the client's first request for a puzzle piece themed logo, given that many autistic adults are rejecting the puzzle piece. Instead of a puzzle piece, many are embracing the infinity symbol or anything that represents a spectrum.
As such, I had a pretty tall order to fill with this logo. I chose to incorporate a star, an infinity symbol, and a rainbow all in one logo that would also look great in grayscale, on teeshirts, and be attractive to children and their parents.
I am very pleased with the final design and so was the client!
